As many of you know I am Countyfairgrounds.net – We have a Facebook Page at Countyfairgrounds ; We have a little over 1500 fans. Usually about this time of year I start to pick up fans and make of course more posts. Its fair season after all.
This year I noted that we lost a few fans. Kinda of unusual – so I went looking as to why.

Then I saw a promote this post button pop up. “Get More people who like your page to see this post”  So for five dollars you can get 400 of my 1500 fans to see the post in their newsfeed, or for $10.00 I could reach 800, and so forth. Without paying for it only a few of my fans get to see my post

Can someone tell therefore why exactly I am posting on my Facebook Fan page. This has gotten a bit ridiculous.  I can see ads on Facebook in the sidebars. But this has turned into commercial city. And, considering that Countyfairgrounds, USA is basically not a profit site and it takes a tremendous amount of my time to try to help the county fairs. I find this insulting.

Is Facebook really hurting that much for money? or is it the competition? Maybe, they are afraid of the competition?

I recently ran across this and am installing it to try it out on Countyfairgrounds.net – seems simple enough, although I must say that when something online “seems” simple, that is new, more then likely it isn’t at all.
